Our Virtual-ly FUNDAY celebration is almost upon us and the amazing ideas are pouring in! Plans for get-togethers of all kinds are being made. All social distancing and responsible healthcare protocols are being kept in mind and adhered to, but Buckster Nation is poised to celebrate one way or the other!
One Buckster has described a 9-hole golf tournament with a socially distanced, short reception to follow. Attendees are likely to break out some past Uncle Buck costumes and duck paraphernalia while they raise a glass and pledge to donate!
Another long-time Buckster is organizing a themed dinner with friends. All dinner guests will be discussing Andy Collins For Kids and why it is important to them. We’re sure the wine will be flowing along with great stories and a ton of shared laughter. Of course, together with the fun they will have, they will also be encouraged to donate what they would have spent at FUNDAY this year.
A next-gen Buckster group is planning a game night complete with guest appearances from rubber duckies of all shapes and sizes! Once again, gamers will be invited to donate whatever they can to our favorite cause. We’re looking forward to seeing the pics of this one!!
Whatever you decide to do to celebrate this year’s Virtual-ly FUNDAY, remember to have fun, be safe, share your experience, and if you can…help us help those beautiful KIDS who so desperately need our support.
Here’s a reminder on how to fully participate…
Plan your event (anything from a solo dinner to a full-blown Uncle Buck themed party) take a bunch of pics and share them with the whole ACK community. Post on social media, email, or otherwise forward to your friendly neighborhood Director, and we will make sure to get it in front of the community for you.
To share on social media:
- Post to Instagram and/or Facebook
- Make sure you tag @andycollinsforkids
- Also, use our special event hashtag #ackvirtuallyfunday
Don’t forget, once the above is done, head over to our web site and click on the KIDS’ favorite button, the Orange Donate Now Button at the top right-hand corner of every page!
Please give generously. Please give what you can. Please consider giving whatever you might have contributed at the actual FUNDAY event this year. The programs we support and the incredible KIDS need us as much, if not more than ever.
Remember, this year we can’t play together but we can all play a part. Let’s do all we can to continue giving back and helping those who need us the most…the amazing and beautiful KIDS of our community!!
