Bringing Our “A” Game: Looking Ahead in 2023
2022 was yet another stellar year for ACK and the Buckster community - with the return of Shave to Raise, a hugely successful FUNDAY event and hitting the $5m donations milestone - so what do we have in store for the year ahead?
The incredible spirit and generosity of our Bucksters made FUNDAY 2022 a huge success. July 9th saw us all come together for a wonderful day of golf before we danced the night away. Many new memories were made, and we did our duck proud as we celebrated his Silver Jubilee. Most importantly of all, sick children’s lives will be changed for the better.
Thanks to everyone’s contributions, we presented the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation with a cheque for $300,000. We are so grateful for everyone who participated – golfers, dinner guests, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who donated.
We also set our sights high for the first Shave to Raise since 2019. The community came together to support friends and family participating in the Swim-a-Thon or cutting their hair, and the clouds parted ways just in time to hold our 2nd annual Basketball Game MWAC (Montreal West Aquatic Center) vs MWDC (Montreal West Day Camp).
The incredible total of $10,000 raised on August 18th will be directed to the fantastic Music Therapy Program at the Montreal Children's Hospital.
So how do we top this?
2023 is already panning out to be a particularly special year for ACK. With the launch of our new website and a new look for our beloved duck logo, we have our sights firmly set on hitting the next $5m in donations for the MCHF in no time.
FUNDAY 2023 will take place on July 15th, as we make a return to Manoir des Sables for this year’s day golf tournament, gala dinner and dance. Registration is open, so go grab your spot today. We can’t wait to see you on the golf course for this truly unique event. An event that only this Buckster community could make happen. Full of laughs, golfing high jinks, and incredible generosity, all in the spirit of changing sick kids’ lives for the better.
