The town of Montreal West is a small community, but a passionate one. On July 17th, ACK will pair up with that community to throw our 17th annual Shave to Raise event, which will include a Run-A-Thon this year, at the Royal Academy West. 

For the past 17 years, residents of Montreal West have come together at the Pool to do what they can to help others. This would not have been possible without the help of staff members from MWDC and MWAC, who have always selflessly volunteered and participated in the event. Unfortunately we are found without a pool this year, but that won’t stop us!

We hope that you will consider joining us as a volunteer, a participant, donor, or just someone there to support a friend. All proceeds from the event are donated to the Montreal Children’s Hospital.

If you have a LOT of hair and are not interested in shaving it - we can also cut 10+ inches off to donate to Locks of Love. If you’re more of a runner, and want to raise some money for a good cause, the Run-A-Thon will start at 4:30pm. For our Run-A-Thon, participants will raise money by fixed pledge, or a pledge per lap, and will have 1.5 hours to complete as many laps as possible (800m OR 0.5 miles), with prizes for top fundraiser and most distance covered.
